Sidebar gadgets

I download them; can't open or run them

Can someone tell me how to open downloaded sidebar gadgets? DesktopX is supposed to do so but darned if I can figure out how.

Sidebar gadgets are part of VISTA not DX, DX can be used to create these gadgets, but i think once they are made into Sidebar Gadgets DX cant open them anymore, you need Vista's Sidebar to run them.

Gadgets for the Windows Vista sidebar.
