Are masters single?

I seem to be spending more and more time here in front of the computer. When I tell people about my skinning, my wife interjects with, " skinning is sitting in front of the computer all day".

I start to say, "that's not true", but then realize that she may have a point.

Here's what I wonder:

1. How many master skinners are married?

2. How many started out married?

3. Can a family life be combined with skinning?

If not, I should stop now while I only have citizen status!

I'll have to add these to my Master series of articles.  Good questions!

I used to be married - skinning put an end to that.....

(Just a subtle warning for any new skinners/artists)

So far so good. I don't do the mecca of skinning (WB) so time wise I probably don't put in as much as they do. But I do try to balance family and skinning. For instance, I don't get on the computer at home until the kids are in bed. And my wife works nights so that helps.

I try to do the same. Sometimes, though I just want to check one thing and end up staying there for hours

my wife is a graphic artist, we sit in the living room with laptops on tv trays, she working on print ads for realtors and me playing with my dolls in poser and working on my first skin for WB.

heck, half the time we don't even speak.. we just IM each other.

For a moment there, I thought this might've been a: "I'm looking to get married" thread.

Well, uhhh, yes - it does cause a stress on relationships.  Just have to remember priorities when skinning and try to balance things out.

I balance my skinning with home life, But push come to shove, home will win in a pinch..
I'm just happy to contribute what little I can, when I can. I never started out with Master or Journeyman in mind and are still amazed I made it this far...

So true... my husband and I are guilty of that, too. But, we manage to love each other as much as we love our computers... So far, we have 7 kids.
