Battle of the Gods - No Ethics Choice

I love the Battle of the Gods scenario, but it really cheeses me that you can't choose an ethical alignment. At the start of the game, you have all the techs, including all the Ethics/Good/Evil needed to make the choice, BUT you never get a chance to select which alignment you want. You can upgrade to Star Democracy straight away - you have all the government techs - but there is nothing you can do to be good, neutral or evil. This is a major handicap during the game, as not only do you miss out on the benefits and strategies of picking an alignment, it means NO-ONE likes you - you are neither good, evil or neutral, so in times of trouble you are on your own and if you pick a war with someone their buddies will back 'em up, but you have no-one in your corner.

I hope this is fixed in 1.7 or Twilight.

Still love all of GC though!

Hmm...haven't played it, but you should still have the starting alignment of your race/faction. That is an inherent property.

The trigger for the choice of alignment is the researched completion of the tech.
But, if you give yourself the tech to begin with, there is no trigger.

Since 'Battle of the God's' gives you all the techs to begin with, the trigger is never pulled.

It has been that way since version 1.0 of Dread Lords, and it is not likely to be changed.
