The film was rather heavy i thought, i mean most movies you watch you watch, but in the back of your mind you still know their movies, you know? But there were some scenes, heavy that made me think, this is almost real life. I mean as real as you can get and still sit in a movie theater and watch it.
Rorschach in several places was like that.
The prison was heavy, almost too much.
The sex-scene i could have lived without, i mean, sure it sorta nice, but come on, no one wants to watch it in public.
Night Owl was decent, a decent man, and I felt the reaction he did at the end, and i thought, you know, you watch superhero movies and they beat on bad guys and give lectures, but no one screams or throws up, or seems really real, you know? I mean i dont know how to explain it, except to say that once i saw on the news a newsman get it on film down in nicaragua i think, and i thought, its less violent than a movie, one second on film, blam! over, but the realness had me shaking. It was real, no one called cut and the guy walked away. The scene with Night Owl at the end was like that for me. Maybe im just projecting, you know? We all bring our own experiences to the things we see and read and hear. Maybe. It just felt too real, and that made me like the movie, but it isnt one of those movies i can watch more than once. Too heavy.
Its like trying to watch The Passion of The Christ more than once, heavy heavy film, very moving, very hard to deal with emotionally though, especially one i couldnt watch more than once.
Anyway, it was an awesome film, best conversion i have seen, i cant see anyone else that could have live up to half of what Moore wrote. But still heavy, very very heavy.
