Cannot confirm since the person decided to get used to the 10 menu and navigation. But here are some tips. I learned from a Norton tech that MS continually makes drastic internal changes to the OS for reasons we will never know. These may break some programs and drivers, like the recent "old" nVidia video drivers, which rendered the machine unusable. Additionally, the "Feature Updates" may be the most problematic for program writers, since not everyone installs them.

Using all the default settings, when the quick launch button "Windows 10 Menu" in the 7 style menu is clicked, nothing happens. The 10 menu with the tiles is unavailable. The installation works fine otherwise.
