Aparently I can't type. What I was trying to do was ask about CursorXP. How can you tell if you have the free version or the Plus? I do have trouble with short term memory. I have read the other posts that mention you get extra items with plus such as the sound, trails, transparency, size, etc. I have those. they all work. My problem is I know I bought it, but stardock has no record, i have no record, no reg #, nada. since I apparently can't upgrade the plus version without buyng it again what will happen to the other functions if I just upgrade using the free version link? If I really have the plus, will i lose the other bennies? will i still have the other tabs?

If you ordered the plus version, you should have gotten an email from stardock with a download link and the serial. Check to see if you have the email and also for the CursorXPPlus131.exe on your hard drive. But if you do have all those tabs and are able to use them, then you have the plus version.

Go to the link below and enter your email address and you should get an email with the download links and serials for all the products you have purchased from them.

I cleared out old emails a while ago. I don't have a CursorXPPlus131.exe - I do have a CursorXP.exe and a CursorXPCpl.exe. The link is from where I received the informational email letting me know they could not find me in their records. So... since I have all the tabs, let's assume I have the plus version. Since I have no email with the download link and serial number, now what? What would happen if I install the updated free version? I really don't feel like paying again for what I have but then again trying to access a years worth of credit card receipts would be a pain.

If you install the free version, I'm pretty sure you'll lose all the special features only in the plus version.

I assume you did order it online (I don't really know of another way to do it). Try putting in your email address in the link I posted and it will resend the download links and serials. Otherwise I suppose you could contact sales@stardock.com.

You don't need to assume you have the Plus version...... go to the CXP tab, and click the "About CursorXP" link......... or open the Readme.txt in the CXP directory.

Thanks. I had already put in my email - nothing on the plus received. I contacted sales@stardock - they have no record. Maybe i thought i bought it because one day i had extra tabs? Maybe i got a bonus glitch on a previous upgrade? Maybe I'll just wander over and pay the $8 (again?) - Thanks tho.

did that Wizop.. that's what compounded my confusion as neither one mentions plus - yet my tabs wazza workin... til now didn't want to take a chance on screwing up the plus- i'm downloading plus as i type (rural dialup takes a loooonnnngggg time - but hey, 3 days to get a virus is an upside).

Hey don't feel bad...I paid for the Plus version but still only works like the free version and I never even used the free version.
