BoXXi's Retirement

I have not been a shell user for very long but have come to love all the wonderful skinners here at WinCustomize. BoXXi is one of my most favorite skinners and I know it's a lot of work he and the rest of the skinners put into their skins. If I can be as good [I'm nowhere near that!]as BoXXi or any of the wonderful skinners who post their works here on WinCustomize.com, I will feel I've accomplished something worth while in my life. Thank you all for sharing something of yourselves with the rest of us are who are just learning. Peace.

I hope he isn't serious about retirement. Also, he's a pretty nice guy :0

Pas, he is serious!

(though, it will most likely be just a temporary retirement)

Yes, I have retired. I still have a lot of unfinished work lying around on my system, and if I ever get the time I would like to finish some of it. I doubt I will be creating anything new for the forseeable future. I am still moderating Wincustomize though. I like it here, so I will still be around.

Thank you for the kind words, especially you, SpicyGirl. Nice to know people enjoy my stuff.

/me believes Boxxie is just faking retirement, while he hides out in the Wincustomize basement making new and amazing stuff to drop on us all at once......

But if he is serious I bet it will be more like going to part time, than real retirement, I just can't Imagine Boxxi doing nothing.............

Yikes! I never go near the basement..... I might bump into Craeonics....and NOBODY wants to do that! hehe.

Retiring is not so bad, you'll can do skins, mow the grass, go to some shopping, and plenty of other things ...

I figure my actual retirement (at age 65 or whatever) will be awesome.....30 more years of sittin front of a computer! (drinkin prune juice )

BoXXi, I hope you enjoy your retirement. But as I said, I will miss you a lot! Even if you just dabble around some, that would be nice. No matter how long it takes for you to make another skin it would be worth it.Are you going to keep your website up? If not, I need to hurry over and grab what I want before it's gone! Heh heh You guys [and gals] are awesome. The first thing I do after reading my email is check out what new skins have been posted. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and even though Frances didn't get very close, we still substained damages. Our power went out Sunday around 4:00PM EDT and didn't come back on until Wednesday at 10:30PM. Been having trouble with them going off now and then. Now we have to watch out for Ivan. Every one take care. Peace

Thanks Spicy girl, I appreciate your words. I must admit, I'm finding it hard to retire. I get an idea in my head and want to see what it will look like, and before I know it I'm fiddling around in SkinStudio again!

I do have a skin that's almost finished, (PePPerMint), and I should be uploading it in the next few days. After that, who knows......? we'll see..........

Boxxi, I think you might remember me as a fan of your Ultraviolent WB. That one was awesome. It was one of my first and it got me interested in skinning. Now, I don't have much of a life other than skinning, but I thank you and the other skinners for giving me a hobby that I really enjoy. So many more of your works I really like, but I like Ultraviolet especially. Especially, with the purple seaside wall. I really believe that you enjoy skinning, and I hope that you wouldn't let anyone scare you away from something that you really enjoy. It's the things that we really enjoy that makes life worth living. But, if you do retire, I hope its not because of these sorts of people. I hope its because you found a hobby that enjoy more than skinning.(Like maybe raising your children or grandchildren). Peace Boxxi, and thanks for sharing all your wonderful works. Chas.

Ultraviolent WB
HA HA!! I never even made a slightly violent skin!!

Thanks Chas..... no one scared me away, just finding it hard to find the time to do this because of real life stuff, like the impending arrival of our third child, getting the house finished so that we can move and start our own business, and a full time job from 9pm to 6am in the morning. You see the problem? Then, add to that the fact that WB gets harder and harder to skin as it gets more complex with stuff like progress animations etc, and I start to lose interest because the process is less fun.

It's been a while since I've been through WC Board. I understand why you are retiring, life can weigh you down alot. I have that problem now. Glad to see that you are still at least staying around for other things.
