Cursor does not cross without an extra click on the taskbar icon.

upgrade to Pro or revert to 3 ?

This is the standard Mult 4. upgraded from ver. 3. The seamless setup works ok when started, then every so often (and I mean often) the cursor does not cross without an extra click on the taskbar icon. Version 3 did not have this problem, it started after upgrade to 4. It is not a major problem, but a major annoyance all the same. Is there something I am missing?

Should I go back to ver 3?  It basically did what I need, but with an eye to the future, I would not mind upgrading to Pro, if it would work, but will it? Would appreciate some advice.

Multiplicity standard, desktop Windows 10, laptop Windows 11;  and here are the settings:

I am not sure exactly what this means, 'cursor does not cross without an extra click on the taskbar icon.'  What icon exactly and on what Taskbar, the Primary, Secondary, or both?

Have you checked anything under 'Control switching based on mouse movement'?

Sorry I was not  clear. On the Primary taskbar. After starting Multiplicity, it works for a while, but then the cursor just does not leave the primary screen, until I click on the Multiplicity icon in the Tray. Even then the cursor only returns back to the primary screen the way it came, from left to right (secondary is on the left for me). When I push the mouse farther left it stays there, instead of coming back on the primary screen from the right.

Have you checked anything under 'Control switching based on mouse movement'?

Only that "Mouse should wrap around the grid."   Checking the "allowed on small gaps" does not make any difference.

Purge and reinstall

Just done all that, no joy, problem remains. . Do you think it would be worth my while to try Pro? Or any ideas about reinstalling ver 3?

thanks for your help. However, right now I purged v4 again and I reinstalled my old ver.3, which works as it should. 
Will ask for a refund, and then - ever an optimist - I will try the Pro version, that way I hope to be able to use its discount, 

Once I see if whether that works as advertised, I shall report here again, with a film, if required, though I would rather if it were to work 'out of the box. Hopefully before long

Hello again, reporting as promised. I got a refund on the purchase, thank you, and I did try the Pro version just now. My optimism was misplaced, as the newly downloaded, updated ver 4 .01 Pro does connect, but does not work at all, not even crippled as it with my original upgrade. Multiplicity found the laptop, 

but the cursor stayed home on the primary computer. So, I am now back to  version 3, and happy with that.  eom
