#5 by ChasUGC - 12/19/2003 10:36:26 PM Hey, I'm Christian. |
Well...I'm agnostic...And, I'm the one who started this thread. Go figure
Our (my family) "Christmas" really revolves more around decorating our pagen tree, drinking egg nog and being together with friends and family. If you ask my 5 year old what her favorite part was, she would say: "I really like getting the presents". At least she's honest
We draw our holiday out by doing our version of "12 days of Christmas". We have a bag filled with 12 small presents (like crayons, a toy car, a book, etc.). We (my daughter and I) then sit down and make a "calendar" of the days left until Christmas. Each day she gets to mark off a day and get a small present. It's the only time of year that she is *really* happy to see me when I get home from work
We've been doing this for the past 3 years, so we've been doing it for as long as she can remember.
No matter how you celebrate the Winter holidays, just make sure that you enjoy it in your own special way, and try to remember what is most important in your life! (and, for my daughter, that would be the gifts....)
