Unlocking Characters

Since support tickets are apparently useless, I've come here seeking information. I completed the campaign with Maisie. Got me a nice, shiny silver star under her name. That was supposed to unlock Paulo. However, it did not work. Is there any fix for this or should I just uninstall and forget the game exists?

11 days later and not a single reply. This game is garbage and I uninstalled it. "Well served" turned out to be "well ignored". No wonder this company can't make a good game.
