Still no way to open a folder in a new tab by pressing the mouse wheel?

I think this is one of those fake virus reports they show when the file hasn't been downloaded by many people yet.

They often work on new == bad unless lots of people have downloaded it.  This is usually shown by a nonsense virus name such as "Virus.Win32.Part.A"

Congrats for getting a new version out with some changes. Glad to see this is actively being maintained.

Groupy has one major issue: which is that grouped apps still show on the task bar as individual apps. Meaning, if you open 3 instances of windows explorer and group them together with groupy; you will end up with 3 tabs in windows explorer (via groupy), but there are 3 instances of windows explorer on the task bar. That defeats the purpose of a tabbed application. 

In comparison, if I open 20 tabs in IE or Chrome, there are 20 tabs listed in the app and only 1 chrome or IE displayed on the taskbar. That's how a grouped app should work. 

There is an old program called WindowTabs (which I believe is open source now) which you an check this out on. I'm running v650 - which is hella old, but still works in Win10 that does this exact thing. I can group any number of apps together and which ever app has "focus" is the one that is displayed in the taskbar while all other application instances are hidden until a different app tab has focus.

Thanks for pointing out the lack of user knowledge. Perfect! Now I can purchase groupy for my dev box too!

Yes, the young age of the file doesn't help, however there's no guarantee that it is a false positive. Does everyone here just trust it? Can Stardock comment on this?

I'm VERY disappointed this update did not address the BLARING issue of "this file does not have a program associated ..." on saved groups.

Every time I save a group I have to open it in a text editor and change all entries from "RunElevated=1" to "RunElevated=0"

What's the point of having this software if I can't open a saved group?  This feature is WHY I purchased this software.  I shouldn't have to edit a group EVERY time I save one. UGH! So disappointed.

FYI: Windows 7 64 bit as an administrator

This is caused by running explorer without uac enabled which is not a normal configuration as you are using a full admin token vs a limited one which has security risks.

I am pleased to say a fix for this with explorer windows is scheduled for 1.21 though.

As one of my favorite Stardock apps, I'm happy to see Groupy continuing to improve. Here's my biggest wish for a future version:

Currently Groupy can automatically combine new instances of the same executable or let you create a saved group of apps so the resulting shortcut will open them all in a group. I wish Groupy could also make different apps automatically stick/group to each other if opened individually instead of having to manually group them or resort to saved groups which is an all-or-nothing approach!

For example, I like grouping Sonos, Spotify, Audible, Pandora, gPlayer and Groove Music apps whenever they're open. However, I don't always want all those apps open at the same time! Currently, I have to manually group them every time (unless I'm missing something). Would it be possible to create a "smart group" feature—basically a list of executables that will automatically group with other apps within that collection?

Is it possible in the future to make a feature to rename tabs? I like having multiple windows of chrome with their own tabs and it'd be nice to be able to rename the window tab to show what type of tabs they have.
