Path finding - Survey and Explore

Hi,

My survey ships (early game, so quite expensive) tend to race with each other for the very same anomaly.

The same seems to happen with auto explore, I wandered why I had half of the reachable area still unmapped only to find six or seven of my auto exploring ships banding together.

Is there a known solution (without micromanaging) to this?

They all seem to have the same "go to the nearest X" paradigm with no awareness that another ship is also going to spot X.  I don't know if that awareness is in future plans.  In the meantime, the best I have found is to send such ships to opposite ends of the galaxy and set them loose there.  It's not perfect, but it helps.  Mostly, I drive them manually in the early to middle game stages.

I also send them in opposite side. So they don't follow themself.

But, eventually, they tend to go on the same spot anyway.

 

I also think, but I might be wrong, that sometime two ships reaching the same anomaly on the same turn give me two different bonus!
