Performance questions

I don't recall offhand my experience with LH, but am noticing quite a bit of slowness and chugging even at the beginning of the game. Cloth map performance indicates 3D display problems. Should I be expecting this in the current beta or is this something I ought to bring up?

FYI I've experimented a bit.

- AA off is an absolute must for any performance gain.

- I haven't noticed large differences with the other options such as particle effects and the like.

- A noticeable performance gain on cloth map going from 1080p to 1600x900 and manually switching to fullscreen. Probably some improvement in the 3D map.

And also,

Is there an FPS display setting in the .ini? Any recommendation for FPS display (other than paying for FRAPS hopefully... I don't really ever record my gameplay)?

LH huge map with 12 factions and the new shadows on, runs better for me than FE large map with 8 factions and no shadows.

I turned the cloth map off and the only time the game slows down is when I zoom way out. Noticed no difference in performance with 0.75.

Hmm. Performance didn't seem as poor on another playthrough as Altar. I've got textures at x4096 currently and slowly turned visual functionality back on one by one. It chugs a little bit once you've got NPC animations in the cities and then zoom-out and drag the map around. Back to 1080p resolution as well. It doesn't run like butter but I'd guesstimate that I'm running at around 12-15fps which is playable (not optimal, but I don't expect that on my system).

Stats if interested:

Dell 15z laptop

- Core i5 processor

-6gb ram

-525m GPU. Optimus switching appears to be working correctly. I get hot spots in the correct place under the '1' and 'F1' keys where the chip and heat spreader are as expected.
