Running Win XP 32-bit with ATI HD4850.
That does look terrible, font appears to be pixel-snapped. Do you run with ClearType disabled?This is just a guess, I have no idea if the new font rendering system is even affected by that setting.
For reference, here's what it looks like on my Win7 64-bit w/ClearType enabled:
Yeah, that is weird. I was going to post that I love the new fonts!!! Wonder what is going on for you.
It does look like cleartype is disabled in the OS.
Thanks guys, enabling Cleartype did the trick.
And now I remember why I disabled it... My eyes must be seriously messed up, I find it much harder to read text with cleartype enabled.
Looks great in the game though.
We are going to see about forcing it on for the FE fonts only in the future.
