Off Line mode ?

It seems that today the DNS registry for services.stardock.net was 'screwed' up. During this period when I tried to run Fallen E; it complained about being unable to login and asked me to do this or that (instead of just reporting that the dns resolutions was screwed up).

-

This begs the question; how do we play the game when stardock network services are unavailable ?

During the beta we will need to connect to their servers. After beta no internet is required beyond optional updates. I think the servers will be up in ~1 hour.

yeah. I was hung up by this as well. Betas will be betas. I'm sure they had a good reason for it.

Thankfully the final product will be connection-free. Games requiring a internet link to play is high on my pet peeve list...

No. Each launch beta downloads fresh xml data from stardock's servers so that numeral changes like unit cost etc. can be changed without releasing a patch.
