Yeah. The starting point thing is pretty infuriating. I even had a starting point that I didn't get to try to "Settle" until the second turn, and by then, I was too close to another capitol city to found my own city.
Yeah, The Ctrl+N thing is nice, but it begs the question, if you have to restart often enough to that you have to create a hotkey to do it, it means that you need a better starting point algorithm.
It's usually about 5-6 restarts before a map has A) anything that is at least 3 in both Grain and Materials,
has any sort of resource within starting distance of that 3/3 or better spot, and C) allows you to expand to even a second city before the computer Factions get there and box you in.
