Idea for making the advent rebel titan less of a drag

Ive already posted about how the advent titan need a basic boost in weapons and survivability, but i have a specific sugestion on how to make the rebel advent titan be more useful. The Level 6 ability is powerful, but is problematic because it requires that you lose your titan to have it work. Titans are really expensive, and late game where youve boosted your fleet cap, its can be way to expensive to rebuy, especially if you've lost is more than once (likely since a few Gauss defence platforms can take it down currently). I would like to see the ability changed so that it triggers when the titan reaches something like 20% health, so that if you can use the ability strategically you might be able to keep the titan and retreat. If it needs to be ballanced more you could even have its armor and shield recharge temporarily lowered after its little tantrum, so if the enemy has enough forces and determination they still might be able to take it out once its tantrum was over (new name for the ability ;-) ). Let me know what you think

After scrolling through the forum subjects i see other people have addressed this idea. Still i thin the more its said the more the devs might pay attention

Considering how long it takes to LEVEL a Titan.... I can't believe it has that ability at all.

I think advent rebel titan is best titan in the game so far.

Loyalists on the other hand has no AOE damage and other abilities suck so it needs a lot of loveing.

The eradica basically needs:

1). base weapons improved.  In actuality I think increasing the damage of it's psionic surge from the current *roughly* 18+2/level to 45-54+6/level is exactly what it needs.  It already has plenty of technology-scaling weapon damage(it's pretty comparable to TEC titans there), the place where it lags behind is in weapons with no technology scaling(the TEC titans both get very strong non-technology scaling weapons...Eradica gets 18 +2/level DPS)

2). rework the Ult.  The OP's suggestion is basically what everyone has been asking for.  making it manually activatible would work too.  Also it would be nice if it boosted weapons fire rate in addition to ability cooldown(maybe 30-50% would do) since much of it's damage is meant to come from it's weapons systems.  Reduce the duration from 60 to 40-45 seconds if necessary.  Either way new ult should have a 150-180 second cooldown and an antimatter cost if activatable.

3). Increase the radius of Strength of the Fallen.  ALso Strength of the Fallen should always activate whena  unit is sacrificed with purification regardless of range.

With those 3 changes Eradica 's problems would all be addressed

Quoting Beta,
Rebuilt Titans will now retain their former incarnation's XP and level, instead of just level.

Yes, they obviously do ^^.

Who builds a ship whose sole purpose (with the exception of the AoE nuke) is to do a little more damage when the Advent is losing (its own ships or the titan itself)? Seems idiotic to me. Obviously the Advent Rebels are not for me. I guess the strategy is to spam hundreds of disciple vessels and get them destroyed, thus (counter-intuitively) making your titan a death machine for a whopping 60 seconds? Boy, that sounds useful, compared to the TEC Loyalist titan which is a death machine even without needing its allies' ships to die.

Not quite.

The Eradica is an interesting ship, focus on it's support, and it starts punishing you for it, focus on it, and it will repair itself using it's own support (Guardians are delicious.)

It's ultimate may suck, but don't doubt the power or the purpose of the rest of the ship, Bilun pretty much nailed what changes I think need to be made for it.

As for the Ankylon, really, I don't think there's anyone who doubts that thing does too much damage for the amount of utility and survivability it has.

Its at most what I'd recommend. Any one of those things would make it fairly competitive I think. All of them would be great.

I actually lost a big TEC fleet with capships and Titan to a big Advent fleet with caps and Titans.  I'm not sure what happened, and the Advent had a starbase, but I think the Advent Titan was able to regenerate shields much much faster than I was expecting due to its capship support and maybe specials and maybe their starbase has something that helped it out sheild regen?.  It was SURPRISINGLY tough in that situation, and I had everything including a medium levelled Rebel titan focusing on it.

Advent had always the play style in which ships boost each other. With proper boost from other ships, the Titans are pretty capable.
