3 Problems I would like to solve with one Suggestion:
- I've been wondering why in the world some characters would have spell casting ability and spell knowledge if you could only ever cast a spell if a channeler imbued you. Storywise it made no sense.
- Now with .76 I trade a game with Lady Irane and got a "Mage" champion who couldn't do anything without being imbued.
- Also, I've run out of mana a few times with auto-resolve and had my casters left worthless.
So my suggestion is that each magic tree, Life, Death, Fire, Air, Earth, and Water all have a 0 cost spell of some sort. The spell should be weak to reflect the cost. This would mean there was a point to magic in the World of Elemental outside of Channelers. It makes Mage Champions you have not yet imbued actually mean something, and gives you at least some action for a Mage character when you have no mana.
Some suggestions:
- Soothe (Life) : 2 HP Heal
- Crystalized Hate (Death) : 2 damage spell
- Solid (Earth): Temporary +2 Strength
- Liquid (Water) : Temporary +2 Agility
- Oxygen (Air) : Temporary +2 Intellgience, +1 Initiative
- Over Heated (Fire) : Temporary -2 Attack and -2 Initiative
