The FE Beta is incredibly stable over-all. I have had 3 CTD's though and all of them have been when I hit "Save" after I designed a unit. After it happened the first time I've made a not to save the game right before I try to design a new unit. It reloads and works just fine so it's not corrupting the save game, but I do have to re-design the unit and save the design again.
Not sure if it's creating a crash dump file or anything but if it is and you want it or the saved games just say so.
