Map scrolling with mouse

My first few minutes were met with one big issue.  Map scrolling with my mouse.  Having to click to scroll around the map is annoying as hell.  As a very minor note I really dislike the cloud graphics.

Yeah I would like to be able to edge scroll around the map. I didn't see an option for this in the options menu.

That is a big missing feature I would also like to see.  Also please add an invert option for the camera mouse-look.  The current camera functionality is just backwards to me.  I am wired the other way.

Yes, it took me quite a while to find out how to scroll too. Edge scrolling would be good. Also the invert option for the camera mouse-look. I always end up mixing up right and left.

I still wish we could use WASD to scroll the map.

I realy don't understand why Frogboy likes draging the map so much. Seems to me you have to do more movements to get the same result, and you have the risk of accidentally clicking on something you didn't want to click on...

This. WASD is the way to scroll for me Much, much easier than edge scrolling.

This has been a small annoyance since WOM. I guess since I play RTS games a lot, I am used to just moving the mouse to the edge of the screen. It is proving really hard to break that habit. I think this same sequence has happened about 100 times to me - 

 

1. Do something on the visible map

2. Move the mouse to the edge

3. Think "damn it, it doesn't work that way in this game, was it right or left click...".

4. Right click by accident moving my sovergn/army to spot when I didn't mean to and can't cancel.

5. Left click and drag to move around the map to the next spot.

1. etc...

 

Some day I'll learn
