The new victory conditions will make it easier to have  games be decided much quicker (think 1-2 hours of gametime). And the scenario's will most likely just be a few new maps like the ones present in your current Sins game.

Give a wide variety and latitude with triggers, ability to add tons of custom stringinfos, and the triggers be on a per 'true star' and individual planet level.

Population - medical disaster, civil unrest, anything that could kill off some

Planet - Earthquakes, Terraforming issues, Storms, anything that could weaken your infrastructure

Orbital Modules - subject to meteor storms, solar eruptions, etc...
