The odd number looks like some floating point math got fubar'd. Basically I experimented to see if contributing negative amounts of cash from my opponent's side would successfully count as a reduction in value for the opponent. Clicking on (+10) caused the wild behavior.
Not looking for an immediate solution, just reporting it.
