Just went through the manual to get some answers to questions i had and now i want to ask you for clarification
1. Ok, the pirates attack the one with the highest bounty on the nearest planet and get bounty for each unit destroyed. Understood. Will they stop at planets on their way to destroy units if they arrive at gravity lanes of parties that are not wanted but have bounty on their heads as well (but not the highest)? Or are they just defending and making their way through to the victim?
2. How long exactly is the time from "pirate raid imminent" to "launched"?
3. The black market. I do not understand the offer price button. What exactly does it do? Which are the excess ressources the manual talks about? How does changing the value in detail affect the player? If someone could explain it in detail i would be glad.
4. Research structures actually dont do anything besides unlocking new tiers of the research tree, do they? And they do not add up in a "research points" fashion, they just unlock new parts of the tree, am i right? There is no need in building more research structures if the skill wanted is already available for research (tier unlocked, marked by being not greyed out anymore). Per area of research ("Military", "Defense" e.g.) one research at the time can be done with some of other areas, even if it uses the same type of research structure? Research in the same area seem to be stacked till done. Any benefits of additional research structures, like faster research?
Sorry if any of the answers is obvious or explained in the manual and i did not see it, i only had a few games and are getting into the game yet. Especially the research thing seems to be confusing at first because factors like ressources also afflict the availability.
