I'm not sure that kind of feature might be feasible for CursorFX, as it serves only to enhance the look of the mouse cursor. My primary concern would be related to if someone were to disable/hide it (intentionally or not) and then forget the shortcut key to retrieve it.

Imho, there's no other app where the feature would be more appropriate.
Could be a current session only feature. If I forget how to switch it on again, all I need to do is reboot.
