1.1: the Era of Rage Conceding

I'll try to be positive, but its hard at the moment. I just played my very first 1.1 game (4v4 on Levi), and instantly, after his first death, 3 or 4 minutes into the game, Puck023 conceded.

3 or 4 minutes afterwards, Frostbyte2786, also instantly after his first death, conceded.

I know a lot of you are tired of hearing me complain about rage quitting, but I am tired of sitting down for a game and having it ruined. I know the concede option was added with good intentions, but I don't really think anything can be done about it. The community is just garbage.

So, after the stat reset, on my very first game, I get to eat a loss due to rage concedes.

There is no longer any reason to play Demigod at all unless you play with friends in premades, so that's exactly what I will do. And to all the people bitching about premades, you've all brought it on yourselves.

If one team is getting rolled, it still takes forever. And I don't know about you, but I personally don't enjoy waiting until I hit warscore rank 8 or a high enough level to crush towers to win, which takes longer than 12 minutes.

i dont see the problem with people giving up, 90% of the games i play end with in 10mins cause we wreck them and they know they have a better shot at fun just leaving and not fighting us. Im just happy we dont have to wait 30 sec's per player

Sefridon, you were in one of those games. I managed to kill the same DG on the other side 5x within about 4 minutes. Not because I was good, the other guy just had no idea what he was doing. I paid $35 for this game to have competitive matches. That was going to be a steamroll and there was no reason to finish it out. If I were on the other team I would have quit too.

Basically, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop someone from leaving. Without concede, we would have ended up in a game against the AI. And where is the fun in that. At least we collected our win / favor and could move onto the next game.

You know what's conceding for?!?!?!?!

For a game like this (3v3):

-host forgot to tell that he started the game with lvl 20 and 25000 gold

-one player in my team has spikes, almost every 5 second. Game freezes a lot.

-a minute later, that player quits and gets replaced by AI

-AI immediately starts to die. Died 10+ times in 15 minutes.

-more units are bought, some player has sim speed of -1. Game slows down to a crawl.

-we lose. 30 minutes WASTED and i get a lose stat.

Yes, i've pressed the concede button two times, the other player in my team failed to notice it (or he didn't mind playing, as he didn't say anything).

And yes, i kid you not, this all happened in one game. Next times this happens, and the other guy doesn't press concede, i will quit.

And btw, my first game tonight has crashed in the middle of the game. And yes, bought fav items are not working, they keep resetting.

No wonder this forum is full of rage posts.... Sometimes this game has the power to drive someone nuts.

yeah I was in a 3v3 game and the rook on my team had 2 deaths in under 2 minutes. I hit concede. No one else did. I stuck it out until the rook as 12 deaths (I had 1, my team-mate had 1, and I had the only Kill against the other team). At that point I just quit. Game sucked. Conceding didn't do any good.
