Craig stumbled upon this *interesting* description of Sins on the Gamespot forums:

"Sins of a Solar Empire is like Homeworld, MOO, GalCiv, Freespace, and Star Control all getting crazy wasted one night and hooking up with each other but no one knows who Homeworld is pregnant with."
