We Want You! To The Star Wars Mod Team

we are looking for more members!

ok so it's almost 2 years since May 19, the holy day of the last Star Wars movie...

but Star Wars has yet left Galciv! and we must start a new team that will take place of the old one!

we already have ship models, and some XML files, graphics and more!

please if you have any mod experience, or you just like star wars, we can teach you how to mod too!

so please join if you want to see some Star Wars mods around here!

What sort of work is needed?   I have some modding experience from other games, and after some experimentation I believe I know a fair amount about Gal civ II modding. I alos have 2D graphics design skills; for logos and such. If designs made in the Gal Civ II ship editor are acceptable I can design ships for a 'New Republic' that would make suitable follow up to the Mon-cal, Nebulon-B, Corvette, etc... I also have ideas for a 'New Trade federation' created by the corpoate sector in the wake of the crumbling old empire, and ideas for the criminal group 'Black Sun' Could any of this be of use?

Seems I-Mod is making a bid for TBS Modder, thats a shame, TBS is a great place, just needs some loving, I thought Star Wars was on TBS Modder...whats up?!

yes yes, we are in the TBS and in I-Mod, I'm trying to get members from both, because it's now only me and Macmatt, I'm trying to find the best way to get more people, but it's not like I moved, it's ok to be hosted in 2 sites right?

I haven't done anything wrong, Macmatt, but we need more time to get all members, and then, all should E-mail me to: jangofette@gmail.com so I can know how much members we got, and after that I'll make the team!

please....there isn't any rivality between our Sites,

I-Mod is "all games modding" and a place where we give young modders the chance to build up a team and material and workspace,
we just see one similarity between TBSmodders and I-Mod, we both want to help modders. But we make this in different ways...

noone needs too choose a side^^ everyone can choose where he want help from.

I hope there isn't any more conflict now.

In sharing one mind, I wish Macmatt all good with TBSModders, i like his mind to help others.

I would also like to say that there is no competition between TBSModder and I-Mod, I am a member of both and would like to see both sites become successful. The two sites just, IMO, take different approaches to modding.

I'll support you with helpful Modding information, from time to time =o)

something terrible has happend! our models are worthless! 3 reasons:

1. all models have an hugh ball on their engines

2. textures don't apply on the full model

3. hardpoints are few and notplace the right direction...

that's sooo not good, I just figured that out today...
what am I gonna do, our last converter is gone.. and he did a great job, but still lots of mistakes...

if anyone know how to convert a ship from OBJ format to X please contact me as fast as you can to: jangofette@gmail.com

Renfl,

I just want to start my own team, because I was in the last team, so now I'm the leader. but it's just you said you will take over the team, and I didn't want that to happen since I want the team. and you already have your ST team. so I just want one Star Wars team. you can make your own team but our team will be the official SW team.

Master U - the offer still stands, but its clear that Stefan, the all mighty does not want help because he feels I betrayed him so badly...like he was the only one on the team that wanted to create a Star Trek Mod....and like I was the only one from the team that left...

Master U - I do not have all material, but have always had it at my fingertips, anyone can get ship models....

I do know that you do not want me to help in fear that I'll steal it and become the "official" star wars mod -

There is no "OFFICIAL" Mod - It kind of is an oxymoron. Antoher team could come at anytime to start up a Star Trek Mod - it would not make either mod OFFICIAL....

I have no want to make an OFFICIAL Star Wars mod, but I do want to see a Star Wars Mod completed, as I would like to speak with the creator of said mod to work with the Star Trek Team mod to make a "Star Trek Vs. Star Wars" Mod - an idea I threw out to Branden forever ago...

I do ask though, out of respect, that if you do not want to create a truely free and open modding community, and do not want to share models, that you send me back the millenium falcon I gave Braden K and not use it... Its one ship I know, but its the fact that you don't trust someone enough who donated to your mod that burns me....and I would like to be able to say that you are at least respectable enough that you returned the ship. If you view the ship, I think you will agree though it may not be to scale since I don't know the scale you were working on, but its a nicely done ship, with nicely placed Hard Points.

Stefan and I have settled our differences...

So guys, i know its difficult, but I have a thing in my mind what allways says "Unite!" I know I wasn't a very good organised leader in the first Mod Team, I was a good soul, but you felt exploited, I apologize for that you felt so, so I have settled our differences from my side too, I look into a good future and I think, macmatt and me, have build up a place for this future, I want to completely start from new, no prejudices, so we can get to know each other right.

I think, Tbs Modders and I-Mod Productions should be seen like partners, if macmatt see it too,

We shall make this dream come true, so we all can show, who we really are,

Not only for making the best Mods, more to be a good soul.

@Master U: We will make the Starwars Mod, and we should make the step now, to start new, take the chance and forgive.

I think, when all sides do its best to reach a peace, we can make our dreams come true,

The Starwars Mod,
The Startrek Mod
The X3GC2 Mod,
THHGTTG Mod,
The Babylon 5 Mod,
and all others,

why not all united in Tbsmodder forum and I-Mod together?

I think, competition is the wrong way to mod...

The "fear" of beeing stolen by another Mod Team would be Zero (0) when we all help each other...

there is official, I don't want people to think I'm just another mod, with now.. the same material as you, Rogue Knight told me he gave you the Starbase modules, techs, weapons, hull tech tree!

some of the ideas there are mine, especially all the starbase modules file, you are actually working with my file, so I won't have it?

the Falcon you sent was lost long ago, and we can't find it, and the models we got are so old, the textures are not updated and it's all looking a mess.

I know what you mean Unite, but I have my own ideas, and I want those ideas to come with me with the mod. and I guess I won't be a leader, and just another modder just like last time... and it went bad! even models we have no to release, so models you are right, you can get everywhere, but not the work we thought about months, about the techs and ships stats and all!

let me just make it clear... it's every team working for herself, and if you want so... we can "share ideas" and stuff in the TBS or I-Mod

ops, for now, we won't share anything right? we already have each others stuff!...
we could all prevent this in the first place.. the fact that I work and the Galciv forum is not all my life... I'm fast enough to say I want to mod and now it crushed on me...

this was my dream ever since I was here... I was surprised to see there are no mod teams about SW.. except for Logos and the Death Star cheap texture in the library... I was so happy to see the someone is taking charge and finally making a team.. it was Rasori past then... and I was the first to join, but now he is gone, and I thought that's my chance! now I can lead my own team! with new ideas! ok, now all this is in the garbage can, waiting to be disposed forever..

so fine, what's now? what's your idea Stefan... we all unite as one?

i want to clear the situation up, I'm for you, that you make your SW Mod, I'll help you in realisation things and some goodies,

my idea was like you said, come together in tbsmodder and I-Mod, and share idea, see us together as a Modder Community and forget all differences, work on our relations, and heal ourselfs,

You will get your SW Mod, you know, I'm your man for that!

We all get our aims, lets go this way together and hold us up together,

I-Mod Productions was an idea of 3 people which became friends, while we make the X3 Mod.

So all we want, is helping others to reach there aim.
