That did it! Much thanks!! When I was using Windows 10, I was able to use Fences, AND move Desktop icons wherever I wanted them. So I guess that's no longer possible with Windows 11, huh? Kinda sad ... I loved using Fences, but I hate having Desktop icons line up to the grid. Appreciate your help!

Thanks very much, but neither solution worked. Using Setting>Apps>Uninstall, it says it can't, because Stardock\Fences\uninstall.exe does not exist. (It doesn't...) Using the Control Panel method, I get the message shown here. (Has Fences already been uninstalled? No... I'm using it currently.) Very grateful for anyone's help! I'm happily using ancient version 2.13. Moved to a new computer. Fences works fine, but I'm unable to prevent my desktop icons from snapping into the grid. I've got Windows' auto-arrange and align-icons turned off, and I've got all snapping turned off in Fences setup. I uninstalled Fences, and the force-snap problem with desktop icons was resolved. Rebooted, then reinstalled Fences. Problem is back, so now I just want to uninstall again, BUT CAN'T, because Windows can't find the Stardock\Fenc
