I want to sync "My Documents" and the files on the desktop desktop between my desktop PC and Tablet PC.
Because of the current limitation of TS, you can only copy files from one directory over a network sync. So I have created a directory called "ThinkSync" on the root of each PC and set it as the network sync target. Within that directory I have created sub-directories called . . . wait for it . . . Desktop and "My Documents".
So, in theory, I would set up on the Desktop a local sync between the "real" directories and my network sync directory (monitored), then do a one-way network sync to the TabletPC. And I would do the same on the TabletPC to the desktop. See attached drawing.
Is this the best way to accomplish my goal with ThinkSync? If it is, I will implement, test, and start thinking about the Multiuser case.
