Start Menu skins not always applied

Start Menu first click, always fine, secondary etc. are eratic

This is more prevalant in complex skins, and annoys me to no end. Geforce FX5700 (256 meg)P4 3.0ghz,Intel 365PE c/set. Display drivers are V66.93 (Latest certified)If I mouse up and down for a while, the skin appears, and follows the mouse through the menu...

Any Ideas????

Not exactly sure what you are trying to describe.

What version of WB are you using? Try updating it if possible.
I have heard of different dpi settings messing up start panels also.

When all else fails, unload wb, uninstall wb, reboot, then reinstall wb.

Running the latest beta as at Jan 05, 2005. But this has always dogged me, through 2 pc's and upwards of 3 Format/re-installs... The problem is as follows :-

1. Click start, first menu appears... All skinned, every time.
2. Mouseover to Programs, and more often than not, the skin's colors are active, but not the skin. However, by moving the cursor up and down that menu, the skin begins to appear... Damn weird I agree...
But that's what it's doin'

I have run into that problem while skinning. Mainly when I am applying skins over and over when testing them. Normally unloading and reloading wb fixes it. Im pretty sure that reinsatlling wb should fix your problem. Im guessing something broke along the way. When reinstalling, fall back to version 4.0 before trying the beta version. Save your skins to a temp folder and delete the wb folder completely before reinstalling. Then upgrade to the beta and see what happens. I wish I knew more about the dpi settings to see if the problem is there. Hopefully someone else will know more.
Try the complete reinsatll though. *fingers crossed*

DPI settings are normal.. IE 96dpi. I just switched off menu fades and animations... So far so good, I'll give it a few hours, and report back....

Hi.

I'm having problems with my WB. Everytime I start up my computer I have to reload the skin otherwise the skin isn't shown succesfully. Why is this happening? I have checked all my settings and as far as I can see WB is set to load up when I start the computer!?! Weird

Any suggestions?

I see the same problem. I have one of the Aqua skins applied and once in a while, when I run the cursor over the start menu, it goes back to standard and then again to a skined version. I would like to disable skinning of the start menu. Any way to do it???
