Which is cheaper? Buying tokens from Stardock or OpenAI

I've just started to play with AI in general and DesktopGPT in particular. I have no idea how much I will use it or how many tokens I will use. I have no idea how long 75,000 tokens will last, but I know it costs $5 to get 50,000 tokens. I tried to decipher the cost for tokens on the OpenAI website, but it was mostly gibberish to me.

Does anyone use an OpenAI API key? If so, can you give me some insight as to cost?
