Both my Laptop (7 months old) and my MAIN 8960 .... I point the Mouse and the arrow disappears.
I can't point here either ---------------- There has to be others with this PROBLEM??
What can be done?? All started after the latest MS auto
https://www.minitool.com/news/mouse-pointer-disappears-in-windows-11-24h2.html
It appears you are correct this is a 24h2 bug and sounds like it is likely related to hdr displays
I tried shutting off the HDR displays and TRIED to follow all those DIRECTINS
I could only keep all my windows open reading all that CRAP.. Sorry didn't make it tru all of of it
Doesnt MS know they F--d up???
AND.... Where's ISLAND DOG?? He have any answers??
He might have answers.... but he's moved on to his "dream job" [at least I hope it was/is] and isn't around much anymore.
I know MS is having a lot of "fun" stuffing up their OS as I have several installs of 10 and every one has issues that are so basic and fundamental [critical] they should have been idiot proof somewhere around windows 95.
The need to sell together with black hats have created a far less than ideal user experience. MS can't seem to decide what's really important (apart from $$$).
As for "idiot proof"? Every time an idiot proof system is created, someone comes up with "a new and improved" idiot to defeat it.
I'm not sure what I did --- now I need to try to repeat it on my MAIN ,,,,,, but the pointer is working!
There's a turn on square that says mouse precision maybe that was it
I agree, the general sense I am getting is maybe Microsoft has too many chefs in the kitchen right now. For example, 23h2 is still in active development in the beta channel and still pushing new updates all the way into the new year of 2025. That seems kind of unnecessary to me and makes Microsoft look like they don't really have a direction for the future, they are kind of just letting these developers all do different things all at once
Agreed. I'm running the 23H2 Beta and MS keeps backporting 24H2 features.
Latest entertainment from one Windows 10 machine.... entirely lost the mouse ... I had to get back to all the key access options to attempt cures .... none worked other than the full reinstall of the OS ...good to see MS maintaining the highest standards of competency.
