Problem with Browsers and Groupy

When I open a saved group of browsers They open with all the last used open tabs as they should, but I always get the original tabs open when the group was created.

 

If I leave these all open the same happens again so that The originals are always created , So I can end up with multiple copies of these tabs!

 

I have to delete all those tabs every time to stop getting multiple copies. But I still get them back every time I open the group.

 

I assume this sort of thing only happens with browsers and I assume that if I create a new group of browsers and don't open any tabs before I save them this would work.

haha!  I tried doing that and it works. I'm sure that this is a bug though. 

So you can't have any browser tabs open when you create a new group of browsers!

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure with your issue. Need to know more.

  1. Your Windows version, please use Winver.exe
  2. Groupy version.
  3. Which browser you're referring to?
  4. A video of this issue happening so that we can understand it better.

I have this same problem in both Chrome and Edge on Win 11 23H2.  
Groupy seems to re-open not just the browser window, but all the tabs that were open in the browser the last time it was closed.   Modern browsers allow users to select no tabs to be saved, or a pre-defined set of tabs in the browser, or the tabs that were open when the browser was closed. 

Groupy seems to try to re-open tabs that were open at the last time you saved the Groupy group.  That behavior is undesired - the browser already does that.  I cannot find a setting to turn off this behavior in groupy, making it almost unusable for browsers.  I just had to close 47 tabs because Groupy re-opened them all (when the browser itself had already opened them).  

How can Groupy users turn off this behavior in Groupy?

I now have the same issue with Groupy2.  My browser tabs that were open when I saved the group now open everytime I open the group.  Even the pinned tabs open again.  So I have double the tabs opening in the browser.  I think Groupy2 is looking at the open processes and not just one opened application.  It is a mess.  Chrome Version 125.0.6422.142 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Win 11 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3672)
