Neil Bannock implied a month ago (earlier in this thread) that it might be coming, but no indication of a timeline so far.

Thank you for this tip related to combining Explorer Patcher and Start11. Works like a charm and I get the best of Start11 + left side docking.

Yeah, I'm specifically looking to move the taskbar to any position, on any of my screens, like Windows 10 could do. For me, it would be most convenient to move the taskbar to my secondary monitor, while keeping that as my secondary monitor, because full-screen applications do not automatically cover the Windows 11 taskbar. 

Click and drag was so nice, man. If Stardock did that, it 100% would be a must-buy application for anyone using Windows 11. Don't get me wrong, it nearly is a must-buy anyway, and I did buy it, this is just a suggestion for how it could be even better.

I am also a taskbar to left guy and hope to see this implemented in Start11 in the near future.

I really don't understand why people think having it at the bottom of the screen is so optimal. It's just in the way and takes up valuable screen estate. Everyone these days uses wide screens.

According to this, they are currently working on taskbar-related features, so fingers crossed that a movable taskbar is one of those 🤞

In fact the screen orientation relies directly on the kind of activity you may have on your computer: If while watching videos, playing games or more seriously doing graphical works, a horizontal layout would clearly be preferred, I don't think this would be the case when dealing with textual documents, which tend to be rather narrow but longer and would require less width and more scrolling.

This is why Microsoft is deeply wrong imposing a fixed taskbar layout in Windows 11, which can't evidently satisfy everyone.
This is also why, you (Stardock), should take the point (like you already does for the Start Menu) and provide us a full-featured task bar with all the required bells & whistles we all need.

Also disappointed there's no ability to place this vertically.

Same bugs are still there like sound/power/network widget not showing 100% when placing the taskbar to the top of the screen.

The fact that clicking the taskbar anywhere but the icons opens the start panel is really annoying. I don't want the windows logo hard left either. It was fine where it was. It's too easy to accidentally click too high or low and open the start menu instead of the icon you want.

From memory Explorer Patcher basically reverts the task bar to exactly as it was in Windows 10 (more or less).

I like the Windows 11 taskbar pretty much exactly the way it is. I just want it on the left of my screen.

I am happy to say that I have not needed to use explorerpatcher at all since start 11 integrated in "never combined tabs". I will say for the leftists out there explorerpatcher and start 11 have had 100 percent compatibility. I used this exact combo for months without any issue.

Also, start 11 beta still is being worked on and developed. More features are in fact coming. the left taskbar could still happen depending on how development goes and it's demand. I would stay tuned for the next releases.

seems sadly in the new win11 beta build the Start11+Explorer Patcher combo no longer works :<

the enhanced windowed gaming feature vs left side taskbar is a difficult choice
