Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Yes apparently it does scan everything under the Picture folder. There is no option, that I know of, to specify which folder to scan. I have forward your request to the Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks
For now, maybe, you can move those files or folders that you do not wish to be included in the scan somewhere else.

Thank for the prompt reply and forwarding the feedback.
All I have to say at this point is WOW...so that IS the default behavior.
My '2 cents' so to speak:
While I appreciate your suggestion of moving my pictures out of my pictures folder; let me just say; why should I have to do that? I have thousands of pictures in numerous folders adding up to quite a few GB. I have other programs that access that folder. It would potentially create even more problems as those programs would now have to re-scan for the new location of the moved images. Or I have to manually add the new path etc. I also see no reason to reorganize my setup as a workaround to accommodate a poorly implemented feature, especially since at this point it is a trial.
So...
- The program does not give you a heads up and advise you beforehand that it will scan your entire default pictures folder.
- There is no option to chose another folder and the only workaround appears to be that you can move your pictures so they don't get scanned. Again I say WOW.
- A great many pictures would not be suitable for a background, so I fail to understand why this was ever considered a good way to implement this feature.
In any case; what an oversight! Maybe I'm out of touch and people like or don't care when programs just do something like scan your entire pictures library without asking. I would have thought that providing an option that ASKS first would be standard.
Given the fact that the pictures folder can contain hundreds/thousands of images at least. With only 6 images showing in the preview; the loading time and scrolling is not all user friendly. Not to mention all the pointless additional scanning. Add to that your now stuck with it with the situation; I think it best to just uninstall the program. What else will I find 'half-baked' later I wonder. Shame but my 30 day trial lasted a few hours purely because it is exceedingly annoying to experiment with what background I want to use. Not what you would expect from product coming from a family of products specializing in customization.
Unless there immediate fix; this program has already failed it's trial from my perspective. Perhaps I will revisit it if and when it becomes more user friendly and less of a beta product.
Thanks again for your assistance basi, it is much appreciated!
