So i've recently begun to take security a bit more seriously.  Better late than never. 

I set up windows hello on my home pc's and got a fingerprint scanner for them.   If for nothing else for convenience and its certainly served its purpose. 

The one hiccup is where typing my password into one pc would also log in the others, it now seems I have to fingerprint each individually. 

Not the worst thing in the world but I'd love to be able to scan in on my main pc and have it unlock the others as well.

I imagine this is not possible? 

Second question surrounding encryption & the multiplicity password.   I never made a "secure" password as this is my home and the connection between pc's is entirely local so am "assuming" the password is purely for the handshake/to authorize what pc's are being controlled.   Not for "security" so to speak.   Is this correct?

Then what is the point of encryption?  I've never set it up.  Should I be using it even on the local network?  Would this somehow protect me from say typing a password via multiplicity being intercepted somehow or something (from an outside attacker, DEF not concerned about my tech illiterate wife or toddlers )

I assume the settings saying CHANGEME means its not encrypted atm?  Assuming I "should" be using it, would changing it save the new key in plaintext similar to the handshake password?

Just trying to understand the "ideals" surrounding the different passwords (audio?) and encryption in multiplicity and where theyre warranted.
