Multiple Monitor Sizing Bug

I have three monitors setup with different resolutions and different scaling.

Monitor 1: 3000 x 2000 at 200% scale
Monitor 2: 3840 x 2160 at 150% scale (main monitor in Windows)
Monitor 3: 2560 x 1440 at 125% scale

If I change the mouse size on monitor 1 it works on monitor 1 but it maintains the original size on monitors 2 and 3.
If I change the mouse size on monitor 2 it works on monitors 2 and 3 but it maintains the original size on monitor 1.
If I change the mouse size on monitor 3 it works on monitor 3 but it maintains the original size on monitors 1 and 2.

Very inconsistent.

1) Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full Windows version numbers.

2) CursorFX version.

I have a similar issue. Size and color's do not save between monitors. I am only using two monitors. If I move the setting menu to my second monitor and click apply the cursor will then change. However the cursor will revert to its original default size and color after a reboot. Same OS and build as above: Window 10 Pro, Version 1909, OS Build 18363.815 CursorFX 4.03

Greetings Friends

I am new convert to Cursor FX and I love the software, however I am facing the cursor resize and inconsistent animation issue after I did the Windows 10 May update.

My PC details are as follows.

Hardware

Screen 1 - Microsoft Surface Pro 6 - Resolution : 2736 x 1824 - Scale 225%

Screen 2 - LG Monitor - Resolution WQHD 3440x1440 - Scale 125%

Windows 10 Home edition Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.264)

Please let me know if we have any ETA on App update that will resolve the issue.

The problem is with the high DPI scaling, you can kind of fix this by going to the CursorFX.exe 's properties and going to the compatibility tab. Click Change high DPI settings and then at High DPI scaling override click the tick box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by" and then select System from the drop down menu and click apply. Relaunch CursorFX and it should be "fixed"

Clearly the real problem is CursorFX interfering with Windows built in scaling across monitors.

Which defeats the purpose of the selling point "NEW! High DPI support"

I am really disappointed with Stardock. It has been almost 5 months now and no update or info.

At least I kind of fixed this issue myself, but I would still like an official fix.

I see you guys removed "NEW! High DPI support" from the product page instead of fixing the issue.

Thanks a lot Garrett, your solution has partially fixed my issue.

As you said it is disappointing in this day and age when a vendor fails to provide a solution to an issue even after 5 months and multiple reminders.

Probably this will be my one and only purchase ever in StarDock.

Yeah I'll pile on. Same thing here. Have my 4k Samsung monitor and all is fine. When I move it to a 1080p monitor my company sent me (Dell) my cursor is HUGE! It looks hilarious. LOL

I found a workaround!

You must do this every time you reboot windows though... and it does not have animated cursor support (animation will freeze)

- find CursorFX.exe
- Right Click
- Properties
- Compatibility
- Tick Override High DPI Scaling Behaviour
- Scaling Performed by: Application
- Apply Save Exit
- Reboot PC
- Start CursorFX
- Select Your Cursor & Set Correct Size
- Open Task Manager (Right Click Taskbar or press CTRL+ALT+DELETE)
- Details
- End CursorFX + CursorFXConfig exes

Cursor size will freeze across all displays no matter what.

Hoping this will contribute towards the devs being able to program in some sort of freeze function while simultaneously maintaining animation support.

Hope this helps people who were as frustrated as myself on size change / flickers / etc.
