Unfechenbelievable, MS has again completely lost the plot, ignoring Win 7 & 8 users wants and needs with more of its shove shit down your throat attitude. Win 7 and 8/8.1 users didn't migrate to Win 10 for a reason... to avoid MS's heavy handedness re: forced updates, etc. I mean, how many more users can MS alienate before it either wakes up or goes bust?
Seriously, Apple must be laughing all the way to the bank. I know a leading salesman at out local JB-HiFi store and he was telling me that sales of Mac laptops and desktop machines have near doubled at his store since Win 10 was released to the public., with 40 to 45% increases at nearby stores . I personally wouldn't go to a Mac. I'm trying to escape control, not to get put under the thumb by another corporation with dollar signs in its eyes. No, the obvious choice for OS freedom would be Linux, and there are some iterations that have become more user friendly than the Linux of old, Ubuntu, Robolinux and Mint being just 3 that have implemented more Windows-like features.
HUM. Another mess coming.
That's one way of saying it. I tend to think it's a continuation and exacerbation of the current huge mess. I mean, who walks further into the swamp when the water's already up to their neck? Okay, MS mightn't be that deep just yet, but the dissatisfaction mounts daily and many users are already abandoning ship. Yup, it's only a matter of time before Win 7 & 8/8.1 users get burnt by forced updates and say enough is enough. Me, I'm just biding my time with Win 8.1, and 10, waiting to see how much control I can retain and how much I lose. If it's too much then I'll seek an alternative for each with Linux.
