One reason I have 'several' machines myself is so I can be a bit 'blase' with how I deal with installs and updates. One of the 3 machines [so far] I have upgraded to Win 10 [from Win 8.1] had Windowblinds 8 on it. I intentionally didn't uninstall it before the upgrade even knowing it DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY... and lo and behold... it sure doesn't.
Some people [with a history of beta wrangling] will gleefully cross the line of 'sensible' and break things till it hurts.... but for the GENERAL USER it is always going to be wise NOT to 'boldly go', not if they need a reliable machine/OS, particularly IF subsequent correction means [or can mean] a loss of important data at worst...or productivity/peace of mind at best....
