subscribe to posts help

so this has been annoying me for a little while

at the bottom of replies there's a little check-box for subscribe to this post for some reason this is set to auto-subscribe and i cant find a way to turn it off.

it subscribes me to every reply i make unless i specifically say no don't do that is there any way to turn this off?

Go to your account, select the options tab and uncheck the "Auto subscribe to new posts and replies you create" option.

That doesn't seem to work.  Mine has been unchecked for a while and I still have to either uncheck the "subscribe to this post" thingy or go to my subscriptions and unsubscribe each time.

I just checked and then unchecked the one in my profile and this will serve as a first test to see if cycling it can do any good.

 No help there.  It still subscribes me to the thread. 

 

I'll report it in the forum issues area.

 

<edit> Reported it, but I had to go to the GalCiv2 forums to do so. I can't get there from the GalCiv3 forums. </edit>

It's done by design. You either have to un-check the button on the post or just ignore the subscriptions.

that only works for posts you create not for posts you reply to
