First off thanks so much to the team for making Start8 and ModernMix. Without them Windows 8 and 8.1 are worthless even on a tablet. Microsoft pitches that their tablets are for creation also instead of just consumption but then left us high and dry for when we want to work on the Desktop for real programs. So thanks for solving that problem.
Forgive me if I'm missing something and you have already solved these but from another programmers perspective here is what I still wish it could do.
1.) I find the ModernMix nice and almost perfect for running the Modern apps on the desktop. Where it's lacking is that if I have say the People app running already on the desktop but I'm in the Modern Start Screen and hit it then it should switch it over and run it in the Modern side. Same if it's already running in the Modern Side and we choose to run it from the Desktop Start menu it should switch it over to there automatically. It does it if the program isn't running already but if it's already running it switches modes and then we manually use the icons in the upper right to move it over to the desktop or Modern UI.
2.) Another nice feature I think would be basically another start menu that would display the open icons in the Modern UI. Where the user could pick them to have them open in the Desktop or more importantly easily right click to close them.
3.) The third one is another one that Windows is greatly missing and the would be a feature to close the Modern UI apps after a specific period of time. Me personally if I check the weather in the morning I might not check it again all day and it's sitting there using 2% of my memory. Same with PC Settings, I might access if for something and then not use it again for a week. The News app may end up using 5 to 10% of my memory and again I might look at it once a day.
Thanks again for the great work.
