If technically feasible, it would be great if the next version of Decor8 either allowed custom colour selection for Desktop application tiles in the Start Screen, or reverted Win 8.1 behaviour for tile colour back to that which was used in Win 8 (I wonder if there is a registry hack to do this?).
The problem with Win 8.1, is that the multi-coloured Desktop tiles are hard on the eyes, like reading red text on a green background. It also makes suites of applications look as if they do not belong together.
Worse, the colour Win 8.1 chooses for Desktop application tiles is often so close to the icon colour itself, much of the icon becomes invisible. For example, Office 2013 icons are mostly trashed on Windows 8.1, and if you have a shortcut with a red symbol (such as the Shell 'X'-style delete icon), an identical red background is applied making the icon invisible!!
