
I was playing TEC rebel against 9 vicious AIs and rushed truce among rogues - TAR. I build up forces slowly.
TEC AIs had insurgency researched 20 minutes into the game which gave me a few free pirate ships to defend my planets. That wasn't such a big problem. Once I started killing AIs (so far 4 died) once they are past certain threshold if they have money they will start spending money on pirates and pirate missions like crazy.
Therein lies biggest problem. They still can offer missions to attack-kill my planets which is all right but TAR prevents them to actually fire at my planets so they just sit there and act as friendly defence force which does not need fleet supply. They do not retreat to pirate base after a while and their ships are there permanently.
Game is about 40% over because all AIs have maximum fleets with lvl10 caps and titans. Imagine what kind of force will be on planets what kind of defence fleet that is and what kind of lag this will cause....
On MP front In non skilled games mostly I could see problem of cheap ships with special abilities defending TEC rebel planets .......
