Simple Digital Clock not remembering my configuration

Why is it that every time I restart ObjectDock, Simple Digital Clock reset's it's configuration? Is it because I left some of the field blank? Date format string in the Clock field area and Time format string in the Label field area are both set to blank, until I restart ObjectDock.

Bump. (Is bumping allowed?)

This is a very important issue for me, because I am using ObjectDock as a taskbar replacement, and the clock is a major component. I always have configure the clock back every time I restart my computer, which sucks and is very annoying. Does this docklet reset fields that were made blank, if so then how can I modify this docklet to keep blank fields in its configuration?

I tried your "blank" setting and when I restart O.D. the Digital clock resets the default "HH:mm" (hours:minutes)

defenetly you can't keep a custom set leaving that areas blank but just for the label you can use my "TransFont" in this case the label will be without any text !

Also, why hasn't O.D the Digital clock docklet been updated with a fix for this? How hard is it to make a docklet of my own? How does it work?

As you know OD 2 has no more the option to hide the icons label
"foruming" around I found 2 solutions

1) Go to Appdata\Local\Stardock\Objectdock Open settings.ini

Find line "Labelsdisabled=0" change it to =1

2) To use a blank font

so I decided for the second

Instructions:
Move the 2 fonts copies as written on the folder name
ObjectDock > Fonts folder
Windows > Fonts folder

then open the OD Settings
find Miscellaneous Tweaks
click on the font beside "Label font"
check "Trans.Text" in the list ok ok

now you can enjoy your new OD setting
(naturally you can reset the text just changing the font one more time) >>

It sounds like you thought I only wanted to remove the docklet's label (the text that appears when you hover your cursor over it). This is not the case.

Rather, I want to remove the "Date format string" field in the configure dialog/window in the Clock fieldset. But, whenever I restart OD, it resets to it's default.

There is another Digital Clock docklet https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/objectdock/14596/

custumize the info and also the label as you want : show seconds \ date \ day of the week \ 12 h format

and let me know !

btw before to move this new docklet into ObjectDock > Docklets rename the "DigitalClock" folder this way: "Digital Clock" or " DigitalClock 2"

so you'll keep the first "DigitalClock" and in the "Add" Dialog you'll have the first "SimpleDigitalClock" and this new "Digital Clock"

Seems like a good clock too. I wish I could make my own look to it though. What I'd like to see is a black clock with glowing green letters and a nice iOS-like icon, and the label for it should be formatted "Tuesday, June 6, 2012". When clicked, the Windows date and time settings should appear. How hard would it be to design a docklet like this myself? Any tutorials on how to build a "Hello World" docklet?

A lot of what you can do with OD depends on which version you have, and when it was last updated...

Also, are you talking about the zoomer or tabbed dock?

The dock I have is a zoomer. I'm not sure which version of ObjectDock I have.

From your membership info, I'd guess you downloaded the free version, not the paid.

You'd probably get most (if not all) the features you're looking for by purchasing OD2+

here I am with the SimpleDigital Clock on the left and the Digital Clock on the right

to open the TimeDate panel with 1 click set " timedate.cpl " as Command shortcut (see the image)

to change the color text click on "Choose" beside "font color" (btw the label text is by my default Italian system )

and naturally you can set my docklet skin as background just rename the png and move it into the "icons" folder
