I was just looking through all the old change logs, its preety amazing how much sins has changed over the years...
for example: there was a time when subverter's distortion field lasted 30 seconds and costed only 100 antimatter. wowzies! or a time where gravity warhead lv 2 could stop a fleet from jumping forever as long as the egg had antimatter.
there was a time when you could not turn pirates off!
and a time where (in single player obviously) you could not change the game speed with the - and + keys!
guidance was even more sucky than it is now.
Returning armada was rediculously good. (was free!)
mines used to be free
phase jump inhibiters used to only slow by 250% instead of 700%
carriers cruisers used to only hold a single squad.
skirantra's scramble bombers was buffed at least 3 times. (and clearly one time too many)
illums used to be wacko... and have changed alot over time.
and this doesnt include the betas!
I could just go on and on about the amazing changes that have gone on with sins, and i wanted to thank the devs for making the game as good as it is now...
but it does leave me with a little nostalgia with how sins used to be, and makes kinda itch to play with the old versions a bit, expecially with the diplomacy and entrenchment stuff thrown in. (i wonder if you could make a version xxx mod...)
anyways, any thoughts about the history of sins? i mean, its been a long history, alot longer than most games, and i dont think its quite over yet. (considering we still have a few bugs, like trade income from starbases at stars)
