Looking into 2010, what PC games are you most looking forward to for this next year?
Being a strategy gamer, the biggest mass-market releases of strategy games are probably gonna be Starcraft and Napoleon: Total War. However, I probably won't get either, in protest. No Starcraft for its anti-LAN stance. No Napoleon: Total War for the fact that even now, Empire: Total War still isn't bug-free, and the AI still sucks. I don't want to buy another beta, that will still be a beta 6 months after release. Not too sure about CnC IV yet.
I like Sins of a Solar Empire even more now, with the Diplomacy Expansion coming out in a few months. I can't wait for Stardock's Elemental though. A strategy gamer's dream, with both killer AI AND multiplayer (an oxymoron? No). I've definitely gone indie these days. Mass market games just don't cut it anymore, being composed entirely of "wow" graphics and just 10 hours of mediocre gameplay. Age of Empires got me into the strategy genre, but Galactic Civilizations and SoaSE told me what I really liked.
