There was an XML issue a while back that caused this. Resetting data will fix.
I just had nearlly the same trouble but without ant trouble on Impulse: when wanting to update Deskcapes from V2.91 to V2.92 it said i didn't get a correct registration validation for Deskcapes and want me to look for an update ( !!! ).
I did a resting data and a clearing usage on Impulse. It upadated Impulse but still the problem to update Deskcapes ... (boaring)
