Ships Overpowered?

I keep losing to ships

This is an outrage.  Why should I lose to an opponent who has more ships, or better combination?  Flaks are way overpowered to fighters; Capital ships are way overpowered to most other ships.

That isn't right.  I should be able to use no brain power, and little strategy to win.  This game is not fun when planning is rewarded. 

So please; remove all ships in this game, as it seems that you need a combination of them to win in this game.

I agree. I want a game like Starcraft where I can play a Big Game Hunterz map mucho$$$ and spam dragoons the whole game. that's real strategy.

"Use lots of ships" seems to be a pretty good strat.

This has not been fixed in 1.3; people are still using ships to win.

Using so-called "tactics" and "micro" is a total joke and an obvious exploit. Sometimes when I play Sins online, I lose. I think that is complete crap and needs to be fixed. I didn't pay $50 so I can lose at a game FFS. I hear a lot of conspiracy theories about "playskill" but TBH that's just a myth. Pretty much the only way anyone has ever beaten me involved one of these aforementioned exploits, so I agree 100% with the OP. Remove these absurd "ships" and then the game will finally be balanced and fair.

I agree completely with the OP, but I have also been defeated by people with many more planets. clearly those are major league imba too, could somebody remove those too? Also, it's too hard to win when the other guy has more money, that should be fixed so not having money doesn't make it harder to win. thnx guyz.

You guys just don't know the counters to ships. I make the max amount of turrets at every planet, in one big line from one phase lane to another. Nothing can stand in my march of turrets! Muahaha...Haha...Ha...Also, ships should not be able to shoot eachother. There should only be ramming of phallic shaped ships.

yes, the ships should be alarmingly phallic, but not do any damage, because otherwise it would be too easy to win with ships.

Life is not fair, sometimes the empire with the most ships and equipment wins, then again sometimes a smart ruler with lesser means will knock the stuffings out of pantywaist with no brains but a lot of fire power for example world war 2, after December 7 1941 surprise attack left much of the fleet at the bottom of Pearl habor, we had no choice but to be smarter with what was left of our navy against nearly full strength navy. Stardock I think put such odds in the game because most players love overcoming the odds, every defeat just means that a hardcore gamer will sit back and think of another plan to win  Besides I for one love finding out ways to defeat my enemies

Say what? Not to turn this into a World War 2 discussion, but the destruction of the destroyers really didn't have as much impact as one would assume. Many consider the carriers and submarines that were spared as having been more crucial to the allied victory.

On that note, notice that the only purely military ship, the Kol, for the TEC, is very very phallic. Alarming. It reminds me of the 'gay' bomb that was under design by the US. I assume this is like buying a hummer, or a viper. To scare the other races with large phallic symbols.

One thing that Stardock and Ironclad seriously needs to address is the concept of people. People are too good at this game. Being able to learn, intuit and adapt makes for any number of blatant game imbalances. Seriously, Blair, Kryo or whoever is reading this, presence of homo sapiens = flawed game.

I mean, DUH!

Keilworth, that will never happen. Frogboy, Kryo, Blair, and Craig and all the others are obviously biased to this concept/race of beings called homosapiens, and are unfairly favoring them, to the deteriments of everyone else.

The best overall strategy Ive found so far is lunching dozens of monkeys with sticks into space, when ships float near the monkeys, the monkey hit them with there sticks thus neutralizing the offending ship.
