I can't get it to work

I have paid, downloaded and installed WindowBlinds 5.5 for windows xp and it installed normally i have no problems with untill i want to change the skin. It doesn't work. It changes but it looks more like a combination of windows classic and NT than the skin i want.

can anyone help???

Does this happen from just SD Central or from the Wincustomize site? The reason I ask is that Blinds downloaded from SDC exhibit similar results to what you describe. Downloading from WC works fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled SDC without getting the problem fixed.

Is this through Object Desktop?  If so, have you tried 6.0?

When you reboot, does the skin apply, or does it still look messed up?

yes its through the object desktop and no i haven't tried v.6. I didn't restart the system after it changed because it takes ages t be usable again but will try now.

the system specs are as follows:
WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.5 (build 92 x86))

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

You've got some older file dates there.

Why not fire up SDC and get the latest 5.x build?
