Humanity in it's natural state is far more poor, politics still exist within tribal structures that we would need to even be able to survive as a species... weapons would exist, they would simply be crude... such as antler bones and bits of wood. Pollution would be less but we'd probably be living in our own shit more often then not... and the destruction would that of our own species.

Please explain why prudishness is bad for our society. As I pointed out there are advantages and disadvantages.
Remember, I'm looking at the big big picture. Long term health and survival of the civilization. Prudishness might increase the number of married families with stable finances... the best situation for child production. Which as a society is desirable. Do you have another idea that is better then that or accomplishes a goal of greater value?
I'm being cold blooded here. At the end of the day what our society needs is children, money, and technical progress.
Everything else more or less springs from those resources.
